Selection and Aging of Hospices Wines

With the strength of our know-how, we have chosen to attach the same passion to the wines of the Hospice as those of our Domaine. We offer and share these well born wines, highly raised, animated by the charitable spirit of their founders.

Wine making, auctions: the birth

After the time of harvest, vinification and the auction, the wines sold for the occasion of the famous auctions of the Hospices de Nuits and the Hospices de Beaune change hands. Their recent birth is just a step towards your glass of wine: it is now necessary to accompany them during their aging in barrels to the time they are bottled. This time of maturation, so much technical, will allow these vintages to deliver their full potential.

The commitement of the wine producer

The ageing process is a determining time for the future quality of the wine. It combines attention and requires continuous control: the choice of barrels (origins, essences, burning,…), regularity of topping up, quality of racking and finally the control of time. All of this is accompanied by precise oenological monitoring.

This alchemy of knowledge will guide these wines from their infancy upto their revelation.
